Recurring themes in Madacsi's work include the repetition of forms, the orderly use of patterns and shapes, and the use of natural forms. Many of these themes also are encompassed in the Japanese aesthetic of katachi, a philosophy that relates not only to art, but also to a variety of disciplines including science, math, spirituality, and social sciences. Since discovering katachi, Madacsi's recent work explores the principles behind the philosophy, resulting in artwork with an Asian-inspired appearance.
